Red Knights PA VI Levittown History
The Red Knights PA VI Levittown was granted a charter
in 2002 by the Red Knights International M.C. It was started primarily by Firefighters within the Bristol Township, Tullytown
and Fallsington areas otherwise known in the County as " The Lower End".
It was first the thoughts of Chief Bill Raymond to
seek a Charter for area Firefighters to join and ride together and soon after became the clubs first President. Chief David
Pearl graciously opened the doors of his Department, Tullytown Fire Co. Station 33. This was our original home for meetings
and other club gatherings. Our first Poker Run was held in the summer of 2003 beginning and ending at Tullytown Fire Company with
card stops throughout Bucks County and ending with a small picnic afterwards for all to enjoy.
Over the next few years we lost membership and the
club was held together with a small group of members. Between 2006 and 2007 the club started to grow. Now, in 2011 we
have over 45 members.
Our meetings are the 1st Thursday of every month
@ Third District Volunteer Fire Company in Bristol Township ( Bucks Co. Station 14 ). Meetings begin @ 7:30 pm. Beginning
in April (and ending in September) we will meet on Sunday mornings, times to be announced prior to the meetings, because we'll
be planning a ride along with the meeting. We try to schedule organized rides almost monthly, attend various
bike nights and other charitible events throughout the area and hold a Poker Run annually.
This year, 2011, we will host a Photo Scavenger Hunt-Clam Bake. That along with our
Poker Run will generate donations towards our charity of choice: Bucks County Hero Scholarship Foundation.
Today, I'm happy to announce that we are represented
by the brave firefighters from following fire companies: Bucks Co., Third District VFC, Falls Twp Fire Co., Levittown
1 Fire Co., Levittown 2 Fire Co., Consolidated Fire Co., Eddington Fire Co., Nottingham Fire Co., Newtown Fire Co., Northampton
Fire Co., Lingohocken and Fairless Hills Fire Co. From Burlington NJ, Cinnaminson & Westhamton Fire Co's, and from
Northampton County, Northampton Fire Co.
We are always seeking new members.
If you have any questions about the club, membership
or want to join or ride with us, please feel free contact me at the link provided in the Officers section.
Sincerely,
Ray Finnell
President
